I have to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect when reading this book. I hace read the first three in the Stone Masters Series and those were breathtakingly beautiful, but the reader is new sure who they will be reading from the perspective of until a few chapters in. I was so happy to finally be inside the head of Ingrid, the mortal love of Jaedon. This book does a wonderful job of involving history into its plot line and I have to say that kept me just as interested as the character arc. Every character in this book is fully formed and leaves the reader with a deep understanding of the motives and inner demons of everyone in its pages. While at times the book got a little overly descriptive, (I don't really need to know every color in the house or how many different shades of red something is), I really did love the attention to detail. Everything seemed to flow so well and left no questions in the reader's mind as to what was going on and why. I read this book in one day and let me tell you, it isn't because it is a short book. I highly recommend this book and the previous books in the series, they are true page turners!

Vanessa Fewings (aka V.M.K. Fewings) is the award-winning author of The Stone Masters Vampire Series. Her first erotic novel, Enthrall, will be released later this summer. Prior to publishing, Vanessa worked as a registered nurse and midwife. She holds a Masters Degree in Psychology.
