Picking Up The Pieces is an enjoyable romantic read. Emmy lives in a small town with great friends and one being her best friend, Lucas. When one night everything changes between Lucas and Emmy starting with a kiss, Emmy finds herself heartbroken and alone. For years, Emmy has gone through life hating Lucas for leaving her with no words of why. When Lucas returns and is set on returning himself back into Emmy’s life, too many things have happened in between to allow Emmy to give him her heart again. The relationship building between Emmy and Lucas has such a sweet and realistic feel to it that you can’t help but fall head first into the story. When looking for a feel good story of true love, pick this one. Enjoy!
"You know I don't want you

I turned on my heels and stared
away from him.
Unfortunately, I didn't get very
far. The electric jolt I got from his hand wrapping around my wrist was almost
enough to bring me to my knees. Such a simple touch and I felt like I was
coming completely undone. When I turned and looked into his eyes I was sure the
sorrow I saw in them mimicked my own.
"Please."
