My Review

Maiwenn is out doing what she does best, killing paranorms that cause havoc in Paris. Book two starts up where book one left off. The characters in this story are very enjoyable and easy to connect with.  The heat between Maiwenn and Kylian is intense in this book. You are hoping at every turn that one of them would just give in and get together.  Pretty much it's a lot of sexual tension between them the entire time :(  New characters are brought in from the shifter pack and the new police unit investigating magical beings. All in all I did enjoy the book, there were some parts that were slow for me, but I really liked the story closer to the end. Maiwenn is shown as a more vulnerable character than in the previous book. You can tell the author takes great pride in her city, Paris. She provides such great detailed descriptions and gives you a lot of history on it. For those who have read book one, this is a great continuation of The Patroness, one that you should definitely read.  Enjoy.
